I am managing Operations for a small group starting a company that I know will contribute a lot of win-win and good business to the FinTech industry. I cannot publish the specific details of the project due to our NDA agreement, but essentially I need to find a blockchain developer as soon as possible. This can be either an individual or a team of 2/3 people. They would be working with a Senior Business Process Manager from a large software company, who is very experienced in the industry, but lacks the newer knowledge of blockchain tech, in order to develop the technology needed to start this company. My challenge here is that my expertise is in Operations, I make things happen and I keep them running, but I know very little about this magical enigma of the cloud and the chain and the matrix and whatever else the tech bros are doing these days lol. I’m also limited because I can’t really write a clear job description since it’s currently confidential, so I have to find someone willing to give me the time of day so I can connect them with the people who will explain the project clearly. Contract, compensation, roles/tasks, and time will be discussed and negotiated after the initial meeting. ā€œI need a blockchain developer to consult w a senior Microsoft exec on nfts, wrapping and layer2.ā€ - This was requested and it’s really all I have to work with. My question here is does anyone have any recommendations/advice on where I could begin, essentially, ā€œhead huntingā€? I’m considering starting with LinkedIn and Upwork but I’m open to suggestions from the people who understand the industry better. submitted by /u/imalrightifuralright [link] [comments]

Hiring for blockchain work with an NDA-constrained description is always tricky, especially when the ask boils down to L2s, wrapping mechanics, and NFT standards. Vague briefs tend to attract either junior devs chasing hype or expensive consultants who overpromise on-chain results.

Public job boards like Web3.career or CryptoJobsList get some signal, but the better pools are usually smaller Discords (Ethereum, Arbitrum, or specific L2 communities) and technical forums where people already ship contracts. Ask for GitHub repos with deployed mainnet txs rather than resumes full of buzzwords.

LinkedIn and Upwork can work if you filter hard for verifiable on-chain activity, but expect to spend time validating claims yourself. Senior Microsoft execs usually need someone who can translate business process constraints into actual contract logic without turning everything into a token launch.

The NDA constraint makes this hard to source without burning time. If you can share even a redacted scope around the L2/wrapping/NFT piece I can point you to a couple of devs who have actually shipped similar work. Otherwise the usual boards will mostly return noise.
