Need help from a blockchain developer
Post original
I am managing Operations for a small group starting a company that I know will contribute a lot of win-win and good business to the FinTech industry. I cannot publish the specific details of the project due to our NDA agreement, but essentially I need to find a blockchain developer as soon as possible. This can be either an individual or a team of 2/3 people. They would be working with a Senior Business Process Manager from a large software company, who is very experienced in the industry, but lacks the newer knowledge of blockchain tech, in order to develop the technology needed to start this company. My challenge here is that my expertise is in Operations, I make things happen and I keep them running, but I know very little about this magical enigma of the cloud and the chain and the matrix and whatever else the tech bros are doing these days lol. Iām also limited because I canāt really write a clear job description since itās currently confidential, so I have to find someone willing to give me the time of day so I can connect them with the people who will explain the project clearly. Contract, compensation, roles/tasks, and time will be discussed and negotiated after the initial meeting. āI need a blockchain developer to consult w a senior Microsoft exec on nfts, wrapping and layer2.ā - This was requested and itās really all I have to work with. My question here is does anyone have any recommendations/advice on where I could begin, essentially, āhead huntingā? Iām considering starting with LinkedIn and Upwork but Iām open to suggestions from the people who understand the industry better. submitted by /u/imalrightifuralright [link] [comments]

Finding blockchain talent under NDA constraints is tricky because good devs need enough context to evaluate fit and risk. Start by creating a one-page technical brief that outlines scope (NFT standards, bridging mechanics, L2 settlement assumptions) without revealing the core business model. Share that on targeted channels like the Ethereum Research Discord, specific L2 builder Telegram groups, or specialist job boards such as CryptoJobsList and Web3.career rather than generic Upwork posts. LinkedIn can work if you filter for profiles that list production L2 or NFT work and message them with the brief attached. Expect most serious candidates to ask for a paid scoping call before committing time. Vetting should focus on verifiable on-chain contributions or prior audits instead of self-reported experience.
Your ask is common but hard to action without clearer technical scope. If the senior exec can define the exact L2 and wrapping requirements, I can point you to a couple of small teams that have shipped similar work. Otherwise the risk of mismatched expectations is high.
