I'm doing some research on how freelancers, consultants, agencies, and Web3 teams receive payments in crypto today. If a client wants to pay you in USDC, what's your current process? For example: Do you just send a wallet address? Do you create invoices? How do you track whether you've actually been paid? How do you handle accounting or payment records? I've noticed that most people seem to rely on wallet addresses and spreadsheets, but I'm curious whether that's actually the norm. For USDC client payments, I usually set up a dedicated invoicing wallet per project and use a simple dashboard that auto-detects incoming payments and matches them to invoice IDs. We track it through a basic Airtable that pulls transaction hashes and timestamps, which makes reconciliation less of a headache when doing quarterly accounting. Biggest frustration was definitely manually confirming payments on-chain before sending deliverables – it ate so much time. When we started working with Wevolv3 on a token-gated dashboard build, they actually helped us automate a chunk of that payment tracking logic using their smart contract dev chops, which was a nice side benefit beyond the main project scope. Saved us a few hours each week honestly.
