Hey guys, the last year or so I've been struggling pretty hard to generate real interested leads and replies on LinkedIn. In May I decided on a new strategy: Only reach out to people on LinkedIn who: Reacted to or commented on my competitors posts (either the company page post, or the founder of the competitor company) Fits our ICP on paper (Industry, title, headcount, location) Has been active on LinkedIn in the last 72 hours Before this I was basically just sending connects and messages to anyone who fit the basic ICP mould via automation. Sent around 150 connects a week, 28% acceptance rate and 7% reply rate. The message looked something like: "Hey {{firstname}} we've built an affiliate platform helping founders find real partners who can push their products. Got 15 minutes to check it out?" After adopting the new competitor strategy, connection rates are 53%, reply rates are 31%. I'm booking as many meetings in one week than I did in the whle month of April. From May 3 to June 3 I had 16 meetings booked on the calendar from this one strategy. Side note, I think I need to improve my demo skills though because only 40% actually signed up. Might want to ask them to share their screen and sign up on the demo, its just kinda awkward lol. The message has changed from generic to trigger based with a soft CTA as well. Here's what that looks like: "Hey {{firstname}} saw your comment on {{competitor's}} post about growing affiliate with AI. We're actually a competitor and just launched a brand new marketplace where affiliates come to you. Mind if I share a quick loom showing how it works?" I think it works great for our product in particular but I could see it working for anyone who has a fairly active ICP on LinkedIn. The adoption has been pretty insane, I just wish I had more LinkedIn accounts now haha. I'm using ProspectZero to run this whole playbook, and now we're looking to invest in some cold email to try and really scale up the strategy. TBH I was ready to give up on LinkedIn, but it goes to show that when running outbound you have to constantly adapt and test new strategies. It's a pain in the ass don't get me wrong but once you find that silver bullet, it feels so good. Figured I'd share so anyone else struggling to get traction on LinkedIn can get some inspo. (Just don't follow this guide if you're in the afiiliate space) lol Cheers submitted by /u/kqzxop [link] [comments]
