The Weirdest Part Isn't Building the Product

The weirdest part is opening my laptop with a clear plan and ending the day having worked on something completely different. I might start the morning thinking I'll build a feature. Then a user reports a bug. While fixing it, I notice a confusing flow. While improving that, I realize some copy needs rewriting. By evening, the feature I planned never got built. A few months ago, I would've called that an unproductive day. Now I see it differently. Most of the work isn't following the roadmap. It's dealing with reality.
