Got my first 4 paying users for Sensei - and honestly it fixed a doubt I'd been sitting with for months

My read: for Sensei, I would put the energy into getting users to one useful change faster, then figuring out what would make them come back next month. The strongest signal here is not just 4 paying users. It is that the product started working when you stopped talking to "founders" broadly and found people actively stuck on positioning. That tells you what they think they are buying. Also, I would be careful about letting the product feel too broad again. Positioning, pricing, competitors, and validation are all useful, but they may be four different jobs. If I landed cold, I would probably understand "help me fix why my offer is not landing" faster than "diagnose my startup." The retention test I would run: ask each paid user what they changed after the report. Headline, pricing page, target customer, outreach message, anything. If the report changed a real decision, that is stronger than "this was interesting." Then ask what would make them run it again in 30 days. My guess is the return reason is not "another audit." It is "I changed the page / offer / customer and need to see what to adjust next."
