The $1T Institutional Crypto Security Gap (Quantum Edition)
Post original
The $1T Institutional Crypto Security Gap (Quantum Edition) Fireblocks manages $2T+. BitGo manages $1T+. Copper manages $1T+. All of it is secured by ECDSA. All of it is vulnerable to HNDL (Harvest Now, Decrypt Later). None of these companies have quantum-safe solutions shipped. This is not a technology problem. The technology exists (NIST finalized post-quantum standards in 2024). This is an infrastructure problem. Someone needs to build the layer that lets institutions adopt quantum security without: - Forking chains - Breaking performance - Adding latency - Rebuilding infrastructure First company to ship this wins the market for a decade. Anyone building this? Or is everyone waiting for the regulatory mandate? submitted by /u/ExtensionTop1031 [link] [comments]

honestly been thinking about this a lot post-NIST. the infra gap is real — most custodians are basically gambling on HNDL timelines. seen a few teams exploring lattice-based key rotation but nobody's cracked the UX for institutional migration yet.
yo your post on the quantum gap hit different, been geeking on this exact problem lately. ngl feels like the market's sleepwalking into a huge vulnerability. we actually work close with the wevolv3 crew and they've been diving deep into infra-layer narratives like this. think it'd be worth connecting you w their team, they get this space at a diff level. cool if i intro you?
